At Better Impact, our mission has always been to help nonprofits, municipalities, and mission-driven organizations get the most out of their volunteer programs. That's why we're thrilled to announce our new integration with Double the Donation, a powerful addition that helps your organization unlock corporate volunteer incentives you may not even know you're leaving on the table.

What Are Volunteer Grants and Why Do They Matter?

Here's a statistic worth sitting with: 40% of Fortune 500 companies offer volunteer grants. And 80% of participating employers offer grants worth between $8 and $25 per hour volunteered. That means the volunteers already showing up for your cause may be able to generate real funding for your organization, just by logging the time they're already giving.

The challenge? Most organizations don't have a systematic way to identify volunteer grant eligibility or guide volunteers through the process of claiming those benefits. That's exactly where this integration comes in.

How It Works

Through our integration with Double the Donation, you can now embed an employer search tool directly into your Volunteer Impact volunteer registration workflows. As volunteers sign up for shifts, they can instantly check whether their employer offers a volunteer grant program or paid volunteer time off (VTO) right at the moment they're most engaged.

From there, the integration does the heavy lifting. Automated, personalized follow-up emails are sent to volunteers, walking them through the exact steps required by their employer's program whether that's submitting a grant request or logging hours for VTO. No manual outreach. No missed opportunities. Just smart automation that works in the background while your team focuses on what matters most.

Why We Built This

"At Better Impact, we're always looking for ways to help our nonprofit partners get more from the incredible work their volunteers do. Our integration with Double the Donation makes it simple for organizations to unlock the full potential of corporate volunteer programs, turning service hours into meaningful funding. We're excited to offer this added value to the organizations we work with."

Houston Goodwin, CEO, Better Impact

Adam Weinger, President of Double the Donation, echoed this vision: "We're thrilled to partner with Better Impact to help nonprofits tap into the often-overlooked potential of corporate volunteer programs. By bringing volunteer grants and employer-sponsored incentives into the volunteer experience, this integration helps organizations turn every hour of service into even greater impact."

Who Can Access This Integration?
